FIGHTIING HUNGER!

Hunger is a great problem affecting the community where we are working. It is caused by changes in the climate, natural disasters such as locusts and We join the whole world in the fight against Hunger. We are therefore working to achieve Zero Hunger.

TAKE ACTION

Would you like to promote Modern Farming among local communities where we are working? GET IN TOUCH.

THIS IS WHAT WE HAVE DONE UNDER OUR AGRICULTURE PROJECTS!

  • We have promoted food security by encouraging the communities to farm enough food for consumption.
  • We are promoting modern methods of agriculture in poultry, fish pond farming and cattle rearing.
  • We are providing maize, banana and beans seedlings to local farmers to plant.
  • Upon harvesting, we have and encouraged local farmers to construct food stores (locally called ebyagi) to store food safely.
  • More than 200 families that rely on local farming are being availed with cows, goats and chicken to rear so as to fight hunger and poverty.
  • Pesticides used to spray are also provided to local farmers especially those that grow vegetables such as tomatoes’, green paper, carrots and cabbages.

OUR WISH

We would like our local farmers who are members of NAKACO (Namwendwa – Kamuli Community Based Organization) to start carrying out farming on a large scale and in a communal way where farmers farm together with a common goal and share interest according to their inputs.
