ENVIRONMENT CONSERVATION

WHY ENVIRONMENT CONSERVATION!

Human activities such as deforestation, destruction of swamps, mining, disposal of plastic bottles and polythene materials in water bodies have led to great climatic changes which has led to environmental degradation.

This has led to soil infertility as it takes more than 100 years for a plastic or polythene material to decompose. It has also led to hunger as forests, swamps and valleys that would form rainfalls are no more in their place to sustain the cultivation of crops.

WHAT WE DO TO CONSERVE THE ENVIROMENT!

  • NAKACO has partnered with the Community in Namwenda and Kamuli District to plant trees every year. We sensitize the masses about the dangers of cutting down forests for charcoal. Through this program, several trees such as mahogany, cedars and eucalyptus have been preserved to save the environment from droughts and heavy wind blows.
  • We also engage with local government authorities to promote good water drainage systems.

TAKE ACTION

We are apparently devising several innovations to save the environment!

Would you like to join us? We buy a tree from a nursery bed at $1. You could buy a tree, plant it and save the environment.
